Loving Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother
Erika Walter, 100, passed peacefully at her home in Short Hills, NJ on September 1, 2020. Born in Germany, Erika has lived in Short Hills, NJ for many years. Erika loved gardening, she was a longtime member of Community Congregational Church in Short Hills, and a member of the Rolling Hills Garden Club of Short Hills, where she volunteered lots of her time doing garden projects in Millburn Township.
Erika is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Erich Walter and her son Ronald. She is survived by her son Richard, former daughter in law Shari Carmouche, granddaughters, Michelle Bridge & Cynthia Hall & great-grandchildren, Katie Bridge & Erich Hepler, Greg & Glenn Hall. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Bradley Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave. Springfield. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 10 am at the funeral home. Entombment Hollywood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Erika’s name may be made to.
