Erma B. Guttke, 92, of Phillipsburg, NJ and formerly of Union, NJ passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem, PA.
Erma was born on June 23, 1922 in Irvington, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond and Eleanora (nee Drummer) Forster.
Erma worked as a cashier at Newberry’s in Springfield for over 20 years. She was a member of the Battle Hill Community Moravian Church, Union, NJ.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Guttke. She is survived by her daughters; Arlene A. Guttke and Nancy Sykes, and a sister, Eleanor Green. She was the cherished grandmother to Bill Sykes, Erin Peek, Christie Sykes and Lisa Berkowitz
A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Hollywood Cemetery, Union, NJ.
