Ethel Mae Macaluso, 99, of Little Egg Harbor Township and formerly of Union, NJ passed away peacefully on February 28, 2018 at Seacrest Village.
Ethel was born on August 19, 1918 in Caldwell, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Mary (nee Milbauer) Vogel.
She was a 1936 graduate of Weequahic High School, Newark, NJ and worked as a supervisor for Blue Cross Blue Shield, Newark, NJ for many years. Ethel was a member of the Union Senior Citizen Club. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, playing bingo and hosting Sunday dinners.
Ethel was predeceased by her husband Vito Macaluso and grandson Vincent. She is survived by her children; Barbara Burkhardt and late husband Robert, Richard Macaluso and wife Eileen, and Judy Mance and husband Robert. She was the cherished grandmother of Denise, Suzanne, William, Stacey, Scott and 6 great-grandchildren; Salvatore, Gregory, Caitlin, Liam, Marius, and Brooke. In addition she was predeceased by her brothers John, Walter and Frank.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth, 1100 Pine Street, Union, N.J. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service starting at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
