~~Evelyn R. O’Brian, 90, of New Providence passed away at the King James Care Center in Chatham on October 15th. A Funeral Service will be held at Stanley Congregational Church, 94 Fairmount Ave, Chatham on Saturday, October 18th at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Fair Mount Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit at Wm. Bradley & Son Funeral, 345 Main St, Chatham on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.
Born and raised in Nashville, NC, Evelyn lived in Lehighton, PA and Chatham before moving to New Providence 20 years ago. In her younger years she worked as a farmer in the South and later became a homemaker. Evelyn enjoyed cooking and will be fondly remembered for her love and devotion to her family and her love for animals, especially cats and dogs.
Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late Richard O’Brian. She was the loving mother of Beatrice Miller and Peggy Lee Peterson and her husband Robert. She is also survived by her dear brothers, Gorham Moore and Robert Moore. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, 575 Woodland Ave, P.O.
