Francesca Primack
05/29/1934 - 04/28/2021

Our amazing, beautiful, strong, loving mother, Francesca, had a very full 86 years but still left us too soon.  Wife to our dad, Raymond, for 54 years (who predeceased her last April) – a dear friend to so many special people in her life like Ruthie, Terri & Gee, Pat, Elaine and so many others – a fantastic Italian cook for many years – a cancer survivor – a teacher – a colleague to a great group of coaches at Vassar College  – an avid reader (she could read an entire book in one day) – a world traveler as she craved trips to Europe and spending time at any beach especially Lewes Beach, DE.

Early in her life, Francesca left business school and a business career in Manhattan to enjoy a summer in Italy. That summer turned into 7 years as she was trained at the Berlitz School of Languages in Bologna, Italy, to become a full-time English teacher. After extensive travelling, she decided to return to the US and worked for the Italian-American Newspaper and Radio Station in NYC. She was responsible for the annual Columbus Day Parade in NYC. She met and married Raymond and lived in Poughkeepsie, NY where she worked for 25 years at Vassar College until her retirement in Dover, DE.

Mom spent her life doing all that she could for her twin daughters, including accepting jobs which allowed her to be near us.  She was our best friend, confidante, teacher and master spell checker. It is impossible to list the countless sacrifices that this woman made for her family.

We will all miss so much about her as she was such a vibrant part of our lives.

Francesca leaves behind her daughters, Nicole Primack Andres (Mike Andres) of Chatham, NJ and Lisa Primack of Wilmington, DE, her grandchildren, Matthew & Avery Andres, her sisters, Annette Spoto & Filippa Verde of Valley Stream, NY, her nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.

Special thank you to Visiting Angels of Suburban Essex for the care you provided to Francesca.
