~~Franco Nacci, 73, of Springfield passed away on May 11, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave in Short Hills on Saturday, May 14th at 10:00am. Entombment will follow at The Chapel at Short Hills. Friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Smith & Smith, 415 Morris Ave in Springfield on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Born in Guardia Piemontese, Italy, the son of Lorenzo and Rose Nacci, Franco and his wife Marie came to the US, first settling in Jersey City, in 1966. Franco was the owner of Pompei Pizza in Jersey City. He was a member of the St. Benedict’s Club in Elizabeth and loved construction and carpentry. Franco will be fondly remembered for his love and devotion to his family and his hard work ethic.

Franco was the beloved husband of the late Maria. He was the loving father of Lorenzo and his wife Marilyn, Tony and his wife Allison and Rosa Fuentes and her husband Eric. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Lorenzo, Antonio, Victoria, Franco, Maria, Giavanna and Valentina, dear sisters, Italia Rocchetti and Viola Nacci, his uncle Tony Costanza and many loving relatives both here and in Italy.
