George B. Carpentier

George B. Carpentier, 93, of Whippany, passed away on November 21, 2020.  Visiting hours at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd. in Whippany will be held on Wednesday, November 25th from 3:30 to 7:30pm.  There will be a prayer service at 7pm during the visitation.  Interment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union is on Friday, November 27th at 10:30am.

Born and raised in Manhattan, the son of Eugene and Lucy Carpentier, George had lived in Whippany since 1964. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.  George was a self-employed Mason Contractor.  He was a member of V.F.W. Post 5351 of Whippany and the Our Lady of Mercy Parish.  George was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family.

George was the beloved husband of 72 years to Sadie, who passed away on November 3, 2019.  He was the loving father of Georgiann Micci and her husband Joseph, Doreen Castro and her husband William, and Patty Dipchan and her fiancé Michael.  He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Jaclyn Dipchan, Robert Dipchan, and Dr. Nicole Castro and great granddaughter Anasella. In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s memory may be made to The Country Home Assisted Living, 1095 Tabor Rd., Morris Plains, NJ  07950
