Georgette A. Granata, 51, of Belleville, NJ passed away on December 17, 2022. A funeral service will be held at Bradley,
Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave. in Springfield, NJ on Friday, December 23rd at 11am. Interment will
follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at the funeral home on
Thursday, December 22nd from 2pm to 8pm.
Born in Newark, the daughter of Michael and Florence (Hadley) Granata, Georgette was raised in Irvington and attended
Frank H. Morrell High School before graduating from Essex County Girls Vocational School. In her earlier years, she
worked as a phlebotomist in the medical field and later joined the Essex County Corrections Department as a Corrections
Officer. Georgette enjoyed traveling, shopping, trying new restaurants, and getting her nails done.
Georgette was the loving mother of Cedric Hall, Zoe Hall, and Kanani Ware. She was the cherished grandmother of
Charlotte Hall. She is also survived by her father, Michael Granata, siblings, Theresa Granata and Michael Granata, Jr.,
nieces and nephews, Danielle Lynch, Ciara Soriano, Michael Granata, III, Domenico Granata, and Domani Granata, her
partner, Keith Ware as well as many loving great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her
mother, Florence.
