Oeckinghaus, Gerda, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13th, surrounded by her loving children.
Born in Wuppertal, Germany, Gerda immigrated to the United States when she was 22 years old. She settled in Basking Ridge, where she raised her three sons, and eventually moved to Chatham 18 years ago. She was the President and owner of Robertson Microlit Labs in Ledgewood, which is still operating today. Gerda was an exceptional gardener, always drawing attention from her neighbors and friends who admired her yard and landscapes. She was also an avid art collector, but above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons Harald and his wife Patricia, Peter, and Mark and his wife Tiffany; her five grandchildren Krista, Erik, Ryan, Jason and Cassandra; and her brother Uli Potter.
