Gertrude Mary Muldowney, 93, a lifelong resident of Summit, died on February 20, 2015. She was a graduate of The Academy of St. Elizabeth, Convent Station, and attended Seton Hall University. Gertrude worked as a clerk for Commonwealth Water Company, now known as NJ American Water, her entire working career.
Predeceased by her parents, Edward J. and Gertrude E. (Boveington) Muldowney,and her brother, David M. Muldowney; Aunt Gertrude will be sadly missed by her nieces Linda Ciullo, Jeanne Mezger, and Barbara McGivney, and her nephews David M. Muldowney, Jr., Paul Muldowney, and Robert Muldowney, along with 12 great nieces and nephews, 5 great great nieces and nephews, sister in law Edwina Muldowney and numerous cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 9:30am at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 306 Morris Ave., Summit. Interment will follow at St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Summit. Friends are invited to visit on Friday from 3-7pm at the Bradley Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 309 Springfield Ave., Summit.
