Gianna Bambaci (nee Ambrosio) of Union, NJ, passed away on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2022 at the age of 75 with the love of her life by her side.

She was born in San Giuseppe, Italy, a province of Naples, on March 15, 1946 to parents Michele Ambrosio and Carmela D’Avino.  At the age of 10 Gianna immigrated to Jersey City, NJ with her parents and siblings, Ferdinando, Giuseppina, Teresa and Adriana.

After graduating from Snyder High School in 1965, Gianna went to cosmetology school and later to work at her brother, Ferdinando’s salon where she met her future husband, Giovanni Bambaci.

Gianna and Giovanni were married on June 28th, 1970.  They went on to open their own Beauty Parlor, La Eleganza in Roselle Park and, as their family grew, they moved to Union, NJ.  Their sons, Rocco Giovanni and Michael John, were their pride and joys.  In 1973 their nephew Rocco came to live with them and was the perfect big brother to their Rocco and Michael.

By and far Gianna’s greatest happiness came in the form of her 6 precious grandchildren – Ella Grace, Sofia Rose, Luca Giovanni, Giulia Gianna, Matteo John and Alessia Rosaria.

Gianna was best known for her larger than life personality, her kindness to anyone that crossed her path, her kitchen creations and her love for her family.
