Gloria B. Poulsen, 90, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey passed away on April 7, 2021 at Morristown Medical Center.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of Milton and Gertrude (Meyer) Barr, Gloria was raised in Madison where she graduated from high school. She was a long-time resident of Florham Park, NJ, where they owned a greenhouse, raised orchids and were members of the New Jersey Orchid Society. In their spare time, she enjoyed sailing on their boat and splitting time between NJ and FL.
She worked as an Executive Secretary for Bell Laborites in Murrary Hill for many years. Gloria and her husband met ages ago figure skating and continued to skate competitively until recently. She had her radio license and was a member of the New Providence Radio Club and Bell Lab Amateur Radio Club.
Gloria is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Stephen Poulsen and cousin Robert Newhouse and his wife Michelle. She was predeceased by her sister, Geraldine Barr.
Services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
