Guy “Gerry” Astorino, 87, of Westfield, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021.
Gerry was born on May 15, 1934, in Newark, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Antoinette (nee Rizzo) Astorino.
Gerry loved spending time outdoors and tending to his garden. He loved going to the racetrack and taking trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
He was predeceased by his wife, Gaile Astorino in 2013. He was the loving father to Toni Gibson and husband D’Juan and grandfather of Alexander Giovanello and Gabriel Giovanello. In addition, he was the cherished uncle of Donna Casale, Richard Astorino, Howard Astorino, Lori Woodward, and Valerie Astorino. Gerry was predeceased by his sons; Don and Jeff Giovanello and his brothers; Tom, Sam and John Astorino.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Bradley, Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901. A funeral service will be held at noon in the funeral home. An interment will follow at St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Summit, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
