Hal was lucky enough to have met the love of his life and best friend, Maryanne, in 1985, and they remained inseparable ever since as they traveled the world together chasing solar eclipses and creating priceless memories. Hal eventually obtained his certification to become a train conductor, making a life-long dream of his finally a reality, before ultimately making the decision to put his growing family first and stay at home to raise his daughters instead. Hal truly was a selfless and humble person, always offering the shirt off his back to help his family and friends no matter the strain it would place on him.
Hal is predeceased by his mother and aunt, Rose and Catherine, and his loving wife Maryanne. He is survived by his two daughters, Catherine and Rose, as well as his first and only grandson Noah, whom he adored with all his heart.
