Helen B. Yandoli, a resident of Chatham Borough since 1958, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023, at the age of 90. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 85 Washington Ave. in Chatham on Monday, December 11th at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery in Madison. Visiting hours at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St. also in Chatham will be on Sunday, December 10th from 3 to 7pm.
Born in 1933 to Franciszek and Florence Bogacki, Helen was raised in Jersey City, NJ. After graduating from Ferris High School, she worked for the Bell Telephone Company. She married Gabriel in 1955 and moved to Chatham to raise her family. She was a loving, caring woman who prioritized her family, always giving of herself to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Later in life, Helen enjoyed working at Stannard Design in Madison for many happy years. She was a woman of great faith and a longtime parishioner of St. Patrick Church. She was also a gifted cook, whose eggplant parm, coleslaw, and Sunday gravy were legendary. Traditionally, Helen and her husband would make homemade raviolis for the family’s Christmas Eve dinner. She enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband and spending time with her family at their summer home in Seaside Park.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Gabriel, after 67 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Gabriel Yandoli, Jr. and his wife, Donna, Paul Yandoli and his wife, Michelle MacInnes, Janice Jayne and her husband, Bill, Lynn Yandoli and her husband, Ed Eymontt, and Lisa Bussinelli and her husband Dan. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Brian, Sarah, Emily, Rebecca, Alissa, Gabrielle, Will, Maggie, and Christian, and her great- grandchildren, Steven, Michael, Nikka, Hazel, Aubrey, and Makenna as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
