Helen E. Ruff, 98, of Union, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 at home.
Born in Neider-Ramstadt, Germany, Helen came to the United States as a child and settled in Newark. In the 1930’s, she moved to Union where she resided until the time of her death.
Helen’s life centered around her family and her goal in life was to provide a loving and comfortable home. She was a wonderful cook and baker, a skilled seamstress, and the creator of beautiful needlepoint. Helen enjoyed traveling with her husband and especially looked forward to their frequent trips to the Black Forest and the Alps.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Erwin W. Ruff, brother J. Robert Beller and sister Sophie Stollenwerk. She is survived by her children Linda Pastir and her husband Mark and Erwin W. Ruff II and his wife Michele and grandchildren Meredith Formon, Susan Pastir, Erwin W. Ruff III, and Kristen Pastir. She also leaves 8 great grandchildren and her sister in law Angelina Beller.
