Helen Kent Pennington

Helen Kent Pennington passed away at her home on February 24, 2023. She was born on October 2, 1922 in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Turtle Creek High School she was employed at the Westinghouse Research Laboratory as an executive secretary; years later was a church secretary while living in New Jersey. Helen was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church and in earlier years active with Presbyterian Woman.  She was a member of Dorcas Circle. Helen loved dancing, music, and had sung in two church choirs. She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, William James Pennington and is survived by her daughter Janet Pennington Burian of Summit, New Jersey; her son William James Pennington, Jr. and wife Carroll, of Chesapeake, Virginia; and five grandchildren Marc, Michelle, and Scott Burian; and Caitlin and Paige Pennington.  A celebration of life service will be held June 25, 2023 at Providence Presbyterian Church, Chesapeake, Virginia.
