Henry W. Pfeiffer

Henry W. Pfeiffer, 96, of Chatham, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Juniper Village.

Henry was born on July 10, 1924 in Garwood, NJ. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry R. and Alma L. (nee Asolin) Pfeiffer.

He served during World War II as a Corporal in the United States Army. Henry received his Bachelor’s degree from Ursinus College and furthered his education at Columbia University by receiving his Master’s degree in Business.

He worked in sales his whole career and retired as a Senior Vice President at XPEDX, an International Paper Company.

Henry was also elected as a Trustee Emeritus for distinguished service to Ursinus College and the Board of Trustees.

Henry and his late wife, June, were avid travelers, having traveled to Europe over 100 times and they loved to vacation in the south of France. They also enjoyed spending time at their vacation home on Nantucket.

He was a member of Minisink Swim Club in Chatham and a Charter Member of Fairmount Country Club in Chatham Twp.

Unfortunately, Henry was predeceased by his beloved wife, June A. Pfeiffer in 2008 but found love again with Betsy Olsen-Pfeiffer with whom he spent many wonderful years until her death in 2017.

Henry was also predeceased by his beloved sister, Elaine Pfeiffer-Thorpe and is survived by his brother-in-law, Jay S. Thorpe and many nieces and nephews.
