J. William Haller “Bill”,85, of Chatham Twp. passed away at his home on October 28th. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd, Chatham on Saturday November 2 at noon. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St, Chatham on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.

Born and raised in Kearny, Bill moved to Chatham 20 years ago. He earned a degree in Business from Rutgers University. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1947-1949. Mr. Haller was a Social Services Administrator for the Hudson County Department of Welfare for 29 years while concurrently working for the Newark Post Office for 25 years. Most recently, he worked part time for Securitas at Giralda Farms. In his younger years, Bill enjoyed acting and putting on plays. He has a passion for dance and cooking.

Mr. Haller was the beloved husband of the late M. Violet Haller. He was the loving father of James Haller, Kathryn Carey (William) and Robbin Rutherford. He is also survived by his grandchildren Gordon, Faith, Joy & Elijah and his brother Jack Haller (Pat).
