Jacqueline “Jackie” Van Woeart, 76, of Morristown, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2021.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel, 75 Ridgedale Ave., in Cedar Knolls on Friday, July 30th at 10am.  Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd. in Whippany on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm.

Born in Camden, NJ and raised throughout Central Jersey, the daughter of Bertis and Helen (Gilman) Winton, Jackie graduated from Bridgewater-Raritan High School in 1963.  She had also attended the University in Bridgeport in Connecticut.  Jackie was the secretary to the office manager at MetLife in Somerville prior to raising her family.  She later returned to the workforce and was an executive secretary at Dun and Bradstreet in Murray Hill until her retirement in 2006.  Jackie was a longtime parishioner at Notre Dame and was very active in her children’s school activities at St. Virgil’s School and Bayley-Ellard High School. She was a cheerleader on the sideline of every sporting event and play.  She was very accomplished in skiing, judo and karate, knitting, crocheting, reading, bowling and flying a plane. Jackie made her first solo flight at the age of 23. Her family always looked forward to her delicious baked goods. Her passion for traveling included visits to both international and stateside destinations but she especially enjoyed visiting national parks and zoos, where she visited over 40 national parks.

Jackie was the beloved wife of 51 years to William “Bill” Van Woeart.  She was the loving mother of Tim Van Woeart and his wife Kim and Jessica Kinross and her husband Brad.  She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, James Thomas “JT” Van Woeart and Pearl Gracelyn Kinross, and her dear brother Carl Winton and his wife Beverly.  She is predeceased by her brother Bertis Winton.
