Loving Father, Grandfather & Great- Grandfather
Jacques LaReaux, 97, of Summit, NJ died peacefully on September 16 at the Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains. Predeceased by Dorothy, his wife of 62 years, he leaves Kim (Harold), Quin (Tracy), 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Born and raised in New York City, he came to Summit at age 16 to live with cousins. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps in WWII. He loved movies, books, music and putting out the American flag every morning. He enjoyed word games and puns and wrote poems to celebrate birthdays and holidays. “Here’s lookin’ at you, kid.”
