James A. Meer, 67, of Madison and formerly of Mendham passed away at Morristown Medical Center on March 13th. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 4 Madison Ave, Madison on Saturday, March 16th at 2:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Wm. A. Bradley & Funeral Home, 345 Main St, Chatham on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
Born in New York City and raised in Wyckoff, Jim had lived in Mendham for 18 years before moving to Madison. He earned a Bachelors degree in Economics from Rutgers University and later an MBA from Pace University. Jim worked as an executive in the Pharmaceutical Industry for 25 years. Most recently he was the Chief Financial Officer of Hart Systems Inc. in Happauge, NY. Jim was a member and past board member of F.E.I. (Finacial Executive Institute). He was an avid golfer and sailor. Jim will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor and his devotion to his family.
Jim was the beloved husband of 41 years to Gerri. He was the loving father of Nicholas and his wife Jennifer, and Meredith and her fiancé Steven. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Donna McAllister, and nephews Todd McAllister and his wife Nancy, and Troy McAllister and his wife Cara
