Ward, James Shaeffer, 91, of Short Hills, NJ, died Friday, April 6. Born in Orange, NJ and raised in Montclair, NJ, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and received BS and MBA degrees from New York University. He worked at various firms on Wall Street, ending his career with his own firm, Ward & Wissner Capital Management. He was an active volunteer for several organizations including Planned Parenthood, the Cora Hartshorne Arboretum, Short Hills, where he served as Treasurer, and the Planning Board for Millburn Township, NJ. He is survived by his wife, Marjory, three children, Meredith of New York, NY, Stuart of Short Hills, NJ, and Nicholas of Barrington, RI, and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Frank Fordham Ward. Donations in his memory may be made to the New Jersey Conservation Foundation, njconservation.org. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 18 at 1:00 pm at Christ Church, Short Hills, NJ.
