Jane Alcoff
11/28/1942 - 03/29/2022

Jane Alcoff died peacefully in her sleep on March 29, 2022.  She was 79 years old.  A longtime resident of Whippany, Jane was born in Jersey City, grew up in Whippany and attended Hanover Park High School.  She graduated from Montclair State University and further earned a master’s degree in counseling.

For many years Jane was known as an inspiring math teacher at Morristown High School as well as an advisor to the school’s National Honor Society chapter.  While working there she also served on the administrative team.

In addition to her work in education, Jane was a passionate supporter of several local charitable and historical organizations.  She particularly enjoyed helping coordinate the gala events that supported Integrity House in Newark, as well as other social events that generated funding for causes that varied from notable historical buildings to important medical concerns.

Jane is survived by her two children Samuel (Alexandra) and Cherie, both of New York City, as well as grandchildren; Emma, Audrey, Owen and Gregory.  Jane is also survived by Rosann Santora Kao, her sister and Dan Santora, her brother.

A celebration of Jane’s life will be held on April 23rd, 2022 from 2pm to 6pm at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park, New Jersey.
