Janet Coddington Halliday of Tequesta, Florida, formerly of Chatham, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2013 in her home at age 84. Born in 1929 to Lyman Badgley Coddington, Jr. and Audrey Wheaton Coddington of New Providence,NJ. She was a graduate of Summit High School, Summit, NJ and Lasell College in Massachusetts.

Surviving are her four children; Guy S. Halliday, Patterson, NY, Gail Halliday Eschenbach, Madison, NJ, Laura Halliday, Scituate, Mass and Grant C. Halliday, Chatham, NJ. In addition, she is also survived by five grandchildren, Meghan Halliday Presnell, Geordie Eschenbach, Kirsten Eschenbach, Erin Halliday, Chris Halliday and two great-grandchildren; Avery Presnell and Miles Presnell.

Janet is also survived by her brother and three sisters, Lyman Badgley Coddington, III, Washington, DC, Joan Boillod, Basking Ridge, NJ, Joyce Harrington, Tucson, AZ and Ann Mays, Sun Valley, ID.

Janet was an avid golfer, member of Riverbend Country Club in Tequesta, FL, as well as a fixture at many a contract bridge table. Janet loved vacations spent with her children and grandchildren at various beach locations on the east coast. She had a love for travel and was fortunate to make many trips with great friends and family.

Private services are being planned in New Jersey by her family.
