Jean A. Giuliano

Jean A. Giuliano, 100, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 14, 2024.  Jean was born in Elizabeth, NJ to William and Grace Aldrige.  She lived in Chatham Township for 35 years before moving to Hunterdon County.  She graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Chemistry and music. One of her proudest accomplishments at Michigan was being second chair violin in the orchestra band. She was a proud member of the University of Michigan alumni Association and Delta Gamma sorority. Jean spent her career working at Merck & Co in Rahway as a chemist while raising her eight children.

She enjoyed golf and was a member of Fairmount Country Club for many years and Oak Hill Golf Club in retirement. At 91,  she achieved a hole in one and continued to play until the age of 95. Volunteering her time was important to her and she particularly liked delivering meals for Meals on Wheels.

Her greatest joy was her family.  She is survived by her children Mary Mattson (Steve) of Frankford, DE, John Giuliano (Jean) of Newtown, PA, Peter Giuliano (Kathie) of Carolina Shores, NC, Paul Giuliano of Quakertown, PA, Maggie Negvesky (Bill) of Somerset, NJ, Michael Giuliano (Marie) of Easton, PA and Mark Giuliano (Sue) of Basking Ridge, NJ.  She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Laura Macht of Mercer Island, WA; a sister, Mary Grace Collinge of OH; 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Jean is predeceased by her beloved husband Gerard, her son Thomas, and sister Aileen Korn.

Visiting hours will be held at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Chatham, NJ on Sunday from 2p to 5p.  A Funeral Mass celebrating Jean’s life will be held Monday, November 18, 2024, 10a at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd, Chatham Twp with a burial following at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison.
