~~Jean C. Harvis, 75, of Mine Hill, NJ, passed away at the Regency Grande Nursing and Rehab Center in Dover, NJ on October 22, 2015. A Funeral Service will be held at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave in Springfield, NJ on Monday, October 26th at 11:00am. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery. Born in Morristown and raised in Chatham, Jean also lived in Summit, NJ; Sidney, NY and Clinton, NJ before moving to Mine Hill 10 years ago. She had worked for many years at the Hunterdon Developmental Center in Clinton. Jean loved bird watching and flowers.
Jean was the former wife of the late Richard Harvis. She was the loving mother of Joseph, Richard and his wife Eva, Donna Harvis, Dawn DeForest and her husband Andy, Julie, Tammy, Adam and Samantha Harvis. She is also survived by her siblings, Nancy Darois, Virginia Apgar Hood, James Kent, William Kent, and Donald Kent as well as 11 grandchildren, Andrew, Rebecca and Anthony Deforest; Brianne, Jeremy and Lucas Harvis; Timothy Haynes, Michael Collett, Erica Pickwick, Lynn Ross and Christopher Harvis and 16 great grandchildren, Destiny, David, Devin, Aiden, Aryana, Evelyn, Gareth, Gwyneth, Braden, Cloie, Keira, Preston, Trenton, Bentley, Connor and Addison. Jean also survived by her beloved companion, the family miniature poodle, Lucy-lu who was beside her side whenever possible. Predeceased by her parents Russell W Kent and Ruth Kent (nee Stone) and sisters Emily Imbimbo and Ruth Lane and brother Russell Kent.
