Jean Malczynski Doyle
10/04/1953 - 12/19/2024

Jean Malczynski Doyle, 71, of Succasunna, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, at Morristown Medical Center.

Born on October 4, 1953, in Newark, NJ, to John and Edna (Bukowski) Malczynski, Jean grew up in Union, NJ, and cherished summers vacationing at her “Happy Place” in Monterey Beach.

A proud graduate of Union High School’s Class of 1971, Jean continued her education at Marshall University and later earned her degree in Recreational Therapy from Kean College. She dedicated her career to working as a therapist in several nursing homes before retiring.

Jean touched countless lives with her boundless kindness, quick wit, and genuine thoughtfulness. She was known for her vibrant storytelling, infectious laughter, and for always being the life of the party. She lived fully and joyfully, embodying her favorite motto, “YOLO.”

Jean’s many passions included traveling, attending sporting events (especially her son and daughter’s hockey games), bargain hunting at garage sales, taking long walks, baking cheesecakes for family events, organizing crab fests at the beach and birthday parties. She also loved collecting seahorses and finding unique ways to celebrate life’s moments. Jean lived selflessly and brought love to everything she did.

Above all, Jean was a devoted wife, the most loving mother and adoring grandmother.

Jean was predeceased by her parents, John and Edna (Bukowski) Malczynski. She is survived by her beloved husband, Kent; her cherished children, Cory Doyle and his wife Lauren, and Brittany Barrett and her husband Bill; and her precious grandchildren, Kennedy, Tucker, and Keelan. She is also survived by her sister Teresa (Jim) Stamatis, her brother John (Diane) Malczynski, her brother-in-law Gary Doyle, and a host of dear relatives and faithful friends who will miss her greatly.

A wake will be held on Sunday, December 22, at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home in Whippany, NJ, from 2-6pm. A celebration of Jean’s remarkable life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Jean’s memory.

Jean’s light, laughter, and love will be remembered and treasured forever.
