Jean Murray

~~Jean Murray, 91, of Springfield, NJ, passed away on December 10, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. James the Apostle Church, 45 S. Springfield Ave. in Springfield on Friday, December 15th at 10am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Born in Newark, the daughter of George and Anna (Ryan) Haffert, Jean was raised in East Orange. She resided in Springfield for 45 years prior to moving to the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania in 2005. Jean worked as a secretary with Kemper Insurance in Summit for many years. She was a longtime parishioner at St. James the Apostle where she was a member of the seniors group and enjoyed vacationing with her family in Stone Harbor, NJ. Jean will be fondly remembered for her love and devotion to her family.

Jean was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Murray who passed in 2002. She was the loving mother of Patricia Hanna and her husband Kenneth, Kathleen Murray, and Lynne Morgan and her husband Dave. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Hanna and his wife Lauren, Colin Hanna, and Andrea Ferral and her husband Jordan and great grandson, Morgan Ferral.
