Jeffrey A. Hanf, Sr.
09/11/1945 - 12/18/2021

Jeffrey A. Hanf, Sr., of Morris Plains, passed away at Morristown Medical Center on December 18, 2021.  He was 76.

Born in Passaic, Jeff was a graduate of Nutley High School.  He was a self-employed mechanic, owning Jeff’s Citgo on the corner of Route 10 and Route 202 in Morris Plains for many years followed by Jeff’s Automotive in Denville.  He never found a car he couldn’t fix. He loved riding around the yard on his tractor, sitting on his bench, or at his front window being the neighborhood watch.  Inside, you could find him sitting in his big chair watching his favorite TV shows.  Most of all he loved being with his family.  One of his favorite catch phrases was, “GET A JOB!”  All of those who met him were exposed to his sense of humor and to the nicknames he assigned to them.

He is survived by his loving wife Claire and his beloved children Renee Figurelli and her husband Paul of Morris Township; Jeff (JJ) Hanf and his wife Kim of Stanhope; and David and his wife Jaime of Hopatcong.  He is also survived by his cherished and adored grandchildren: Nicole and Aiden Hanf; Joseph, Jennifer and James Figurelli; and Alexis and Kayla Hanf.
