~~Jerrold M. Evans, 99, of Chatham, New Jersey and formerly of Rumford, Maine, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at home, surrounded by his family. Jerry was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, and had a 50 year career with F.W. Woolworth before retirement. He was a voracious reader who enjoyed fly fishing and trips to his home in Maine. Jerry is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean; children Douglas H. and his wife Sarah Cogan, Linda J. Bedell, Robert W. and his wife Patti, “T”, and Jerrold M. and his wife Melissa; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church,200 Main Street, Chatham. There will be a visitation on Friday from 5-8pm at the WMA Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street in Chatham.
