Jo Ann Bradley

~~Jo Ann Bradley (nee Brennan) of Chatham died on April 1, 2017. Born in Ardmore, PA, she was the youngest of seven children and was the last to survive.

Mrs. Bradley attended Penn State University and graduated with a degree in journalism. While there, she met her husband, Thomas Earl Bradley, who predeceased her in January of 2011. They were married sixty one years.

The family lived in Cincinnati, OH, Kansas City, KS, and Denver, CO before finally moving to Chatham.

Mrs. Bradley returned to school attending Kean College where she earned a degree in Library Science. She worked for Diamond Repeater Company in Madison for several years and then as a librarian in Chatham High School. She retired in 1987.

Mrs. Bradley enjoyed traveling and visited every continent in the world excluding Antarctica. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church where she served on the vestry, taught Sunday school, was a lector, and a flower arranger for many years.

Mrs. Bradley was also a member of Madison Golf Club. She was active on the Women’s Board serving in all capacities including Chairwoman.

She leaves her children: Michael and his wife Karen, Joyce Luzzi and her husband Vincent, Craig and his wife Jana, Kirk and his wife Allison along with Peter and his wife Edy. She is also leaves nine grandchildren and one great grandson.

The celebration of her wonderful life will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 200 Main St, Chatham on Thursday, April 6th at 11:00am. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 7pm at St. Paul’s as well.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in her memory be made to St. Paul’s Memorial Fund or the Chatham Emergency Squad, 45 Spring St., Chatham, NJ 07928.
