Joan Ann Lyons, 88, of Springfield, NJ, went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 7, 2021. A graveside service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Springfield Cemetery, 101 Taft Lane in Springfield on Thursday, March 11th at 11am. Arrangements are by Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home.
Born in Orange and raised in Irvington where she graduated from Irvington High School, Joan was a long time resident of Springfield. She had worked for many years as a receptionist and secretary at Fair Oaks in Summit. A long time, active member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Springfield Garden Club, Joan loved giraffes and crocheting. She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Joan was the beloved wife of Ted. She was the loving mother of Kathy Shader and her husband William, Peter Cassese, Ted Lyons, John Gartling and his wife Marilyn and the late Steven Cassese. She is also survived by her 6 cherished grandchildren a great grandchild.
