Joan E. Molocznik

Joan E. Molocznik, “Joanie”, 89, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away peacefully on May 23, 2021. She was born on November 17, 1931 in Newark, New Jersey. She was the daughter of
Daniel and Viola (Boland) Gilmore. Joan was married to the absolute love of her life, Michael Molocznik. They resided in Fords, NJ for 56 years before retiring to Scottsdale, Arizona. While in NJ, Joan graduated from Kearney H.S. and Middlesex County College with an AA in Business Management. During her career Joan worked as an administrative assistant at Standard Tube Steel Corporation in Woodbridge, Kelly Services and Culligan Corporation in Keasbey. Joan was also a librarian at Our Lady of Peace School in Fords. She was a member of The Fords Woman’s Club and The Red Hat Society. Joan attended Our Lady of Peace (NJ) and Our Lady of Joy (AZ) Catholic churches.

During her life Joan traveled throughout the US, Canada, Hawaii, and Europe. She loved gardening and taking care of her home. Joan had a creative side and was a talented painter,
crafter, and knitter. She loved camping, and was an avid sports fan who rarely missed a NY Giants or AZ Cardinals football game. Joan was known for her boundless energy. She will be
missed by all and will always be in our hearts. During her life she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her best friend and husband of 67 years, Michael Molocznik, who recently passed in January 2021. Her brother Daniel Gilmore. Her
nephews; Daniel, Jr., and Billie (Kulik), her niece Kathleen (McLean), and her cousin Norma (George) Nimetz. She is survived by her son Michael Molocznik (Nancy) of Rexford, NY, her daughter Maryann Acuff (Gerald) of Rockbridge Baths, VA, her grandchildren Ryan, Edward (Erin), Kevin (Megan), Nicholas, step-granddaughter Laura (Acuff), and her beloved great
granddaughter Emma. She is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews. Our family would like to thank all the caretakers at Las Fuentes Assisted Living (Scottsdale, AZ).

A graveside service will be held at Restland Memorial Park, 77 Deforest Avenue, East Hanover on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent in Joan’s honor to Hospice of the Valley (Scottsdale, AZ) or Our Lady of Peace Church (Fords, NJ).
