Joan P. Boehm

Joan Boehm, of New Providence, passed away on October 1, 2013. She was 80 years old.

Born in Newark, Joan lived in Maplewood for several years before moving to New Providence in 1955 with her husband, Jack. In addition to working as a telephone operator for Bell Labs, Joan spent many years in the Underwriting Department of All-State Insurance Company in Murray Hill, NJ before her retirement in 1994.

Joan will be remembered for her youthful style and attitude towards life. She loved taking trips to Disney World with her family, going for walks, and following her favorite New York Giants – all of which were even better when she could share it with her grandchildren.

Joan is predeceased by her husband, the late Jack Boehm. She leaves behind three loving children: Bill Boehm and his wife Tammy Malley of Howell, NJ; Jackie McNally and her husband Al of Parsippany, NJ; and Eric Boehm and his wife Fran of Budd Lake, NJ; as well as seven adoring grandchildren: Kelly, Jason, Matthew, Corey, Robert, Sarah, and Emillie.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Joan on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 3-7PM at the Bradley, Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, located at 309 Springfield Avenue in Summit. A Funeral Service will be celebrated following the visitation at 7PM. Committal is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s memory may be made to the New Providence Rescue Squad, Academy Place, New Providence, NJ 07974.
