Joan S. Cline, 87, of Westerly, Rhode Island and formerly of Chatham, NJ passed away at the Westerly Hospital on December 12th.
Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio where she graduated from Oakwood High School and the University of Dayton, Joan had lived in Chatham since 1950 before moving to Westerly in 2009 to be with her daughter. She was a Social Worker with the Morris County Board of Social Services. Joan was a deacon and an elder at Ogden Memorial Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir for 35 years. She was a member of the Suburban Music Club and the Piano Workshop as well as the Chatham Antique Club and Minisink Swim Club. Joan travelled extensively and enjoyed playing golf and bridge.
Joan was the beloved wife of the late Charles William Cline. She was the loving mother of Harriet Cline and her husband John Grady of Westerly, and Raymond Cline and his wife Cathy Raymond of Newbury, NH. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Jake and Ali Cline and her dear brother Al B. Sides.
