John A. Jupin

John A. Jupin, 81, of Cedar Knolls, NJ, passed away on February 20, 2024.  Visiting hours at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd, in Whippany will be held on Friday, February 23rd from 4 to 8pm.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, 75 Ridgedale Ave. in Cedar Knolls, on Saturday, February 24th at 9:30am.  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover will follow.

Born in Newark, NJ, the son of John and Sophie (Lane) Jupin, John was raised in Chatham, NJ.  He had lived in Cedar Knolls since 1967.  John proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Forrestal Aircraft Carrier during the Vietnam War.  Upon his return, he joined the NJ American Water Company in Short Hills where he worked for 40 years until his retirement in 2006.  A longtime parishioner at Notre Dame, John loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed attending his children and grandchildren’s school functions and sporting events.

John was the beloved husband of 58 years to Mary.  He was the loving father of Mary Ellen Ross (John), John A. Jupin, Thomas Jupin (Kimberly), Steven Jupin (Robin) and James Jupin (Angela).  He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Kelly Ross, Gabrielle Jupin, Anne Jupin, Thomas Jupin, Riley Jupin, Taylor Jupin, James Jupin, Dylan Jupin, and Maddox Jupin, and his dear sister, Mary Barker and Jeanette Jupin.  He is predeceased by his sister Sophia Cerutti.  In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN  38105.
