John R. Andrus, 87, of Springfield, NJ, passed after a short illness on July 14, 2018. Born in Newark, raised in Hillside, John lived in Clark prior to moving to Springfield in 1966. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. John served proudly in the Air Force, during the Korean Conflict. He was an engineer for Public Service Energy & Gas in Newark, NJ for over 40 years. John is pre-deceased by his wife June Andrus. He is survived by his three children, Diane Bartholomew, Scott Andrus & Karen Andrus, grandfather of Katie & Ryan. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
