John B. Conroy, Jr., 76, of Chatham, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ.

John (Jay) was born on December 16, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John, Sr. and Dorothy (nee Tobin) Conroy.

Jay received his Bachelor of Science degree from Duquesne University and served in the US Army. Before his retirement, he held various management and staff positions at IBM over 31 years and then spent 6 years at Tekmark Global Solutions.

Jay was a devoted parishioner of Corpus Christi Church for over 30 years where he volunteered his time and he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

In his spare time, Jay enjoyed model trains, golf, and rooting for his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams. He truly loved spending time with his wife, 4 children, and 11 grandchildren.

Jay is survived by his loving wife Antonia (Toni) Conroy. He was the devoted father of Sean Conroy (Lori), Kevin Conroy (Melissa), James Conroy, and Elizabeth Conroy and cherished grandfather of Matthew, Nicole, Daniel, Patrick, Alexander, Rebekah, Benjamin, Maire, Kathleen, John and Thomas. In addition, he is survived by his brother, Dennis Conroy. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kirsten Conroy.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd, Chatham, NJ 07928. An interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Catholic Charities.
