John Joseph Payton
11/12/1932 - 02/08/2021

Hello Yall .

John Joseph Payton has entered into the peace beyond all understanding until the trumpet blows to rise.

John passed away February 8th  at 11:45 am at JFK Hospital in Edison, NJ.

John was a  A-Veteran.  He was 88 years old.

He was married to Angelina and had two children; daughters  Joann and Jean  Payton.

He had 3 grandchildren, Tamika L. Payton, John I. Jones and James Jones Jr.

He has 4 great grandchildren, Ulani, Seemaj, Mason, and  one to come,..

Hallelujah!

He came to New Jersey as a young man, purchased a home for his family that we called 1415.

There he lived until 2015.

He then resided the rest of his life at The Richmond Towers, Plainfield NJ.

John was very proud of his family tree.

He has surviving  sisters Barbra, Jean Cleo, and Virginia.

He has loving nephews and nieces  Ralph, Renee, Nancy, Connie, Wadell, Serina, and Ivan.

John was a mild mannered man with a big heart.

He was extremely giving.

His favorite organizations was:

Salesian, St Jude, Wounded Warriors, Food for the Poor, Veterans of foreign War, Disabled Veterans National Foundation, NAACP, NAVO, NARF, Toys for tots, Special Olympics, St. Joseph Indian School, and so many more.

He was also a member of The National Committee to preserve Social Security & Medicare.

John was very proud of his descendants; blessed again by GOD.

He will be missed and loved eternally, LOVE YOU DAD!!!
