John Michael Krill

John Michael Krill of Kailua, Hawaii, previously from Madison, New Jersey passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 6, 2022. He was 58 years old.

Michael was born on July 18, 1963 in Yonkers, New York. He grew up in Madison, New Jersey. He graduated from Madison High School in 1981 where he developed a core group of “best “friends. Michael went on to college at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey. He moved to San Diego, California in his late 20s where he began a career in marine insurance. This career led him to opening and managing a satellite office on Oahu, Hawaii where he was an insurance adjuster which allowed him to travel throughout the islands of Hawaii.

John Michael was known as Mike or Mikey. While living in Hawaii, he treasured the moments when family and friends would visit him and loved showing them around the beautiful islands of Hawaii. Although he lived on Oahu for 25 years, he always still considered Madison, New Jersey his home.

Michael will be remembered for his sharp memory of old TV shows and movies. He could easily recite many classic lines to older shows. He was forever reminiscing about the good old days remembering many fond memories of family and friends. He always seemed to remember family and friend’s birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions. He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. He loved watching all sports. He enjoyed any type of handyman projects, landscaping, cooking, playing golf, kayaking, snorkeling and swimming in the beautiful waters of Hawaii.

His passion for the ocean began during yearly family trips to the Jersey shore. While living in Hawaii he enjoyed playing beach volleyball in Kailua which always ended with a friendly barbecue.

Michael was predeceased by his loving parents.  His mother, Helen Krusko Krill and father,John Krill Jr. Michael is survived by his loving and devoted family. His brother Konrad Krill, his wife Christine of Harvey Cedars, New Jersey. His sister, Kimmy Krill Fritts, her husband Jeff Fritts of Bay Head, New Jersey. His brother, Jonathan Krill of Wilmington, Delaware. His sister,  Peni Krill Burke, her husband Jeff Burke of Chatham, New Jersey. He cherished his nieces and nephews: Andrew, Connor and Nina Krill. Tylere and Corey Fritts. Kelsey Fritts Morgan and her husband Hamilton Morgan. Lauren and Ryan Burke. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration on Monday, July 18, 2022 (which would have been Mike’s 59th birthday) from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

A prayer service will be held during the memorial celebration at 6:30 p.m.
