Jonathan Hutchinson Drury, 47, of Chatham Twp., died surrounded by his loving family on May 30, 2012.
Born and raised in Bristol, CT, Jon graduated from Bristol Central High School. He then attended Nichols College in Dudley, MA, receiving his BS in accounting in 1986.
Jon was living in Hoboken when he married Marnie Macaro in 1994. They moved to Chatham in 1995.
After 9/11, Jon left NYC along with his brother and friend to start their own investment business in Summit, NJ, where he was currently working.
Jon’s family was everything to him and he treasured the moments coaching for Chatham Youth Hockey and watching his sons play their sports. Jon’s passion was taking others out fishing on his boat. It was important to him that everyone caught fish and had a good time. An avid hockey player, he was a member of the Venom men’s league team at Twin Oaks Ice Rink in Morristown in addition to playing on Thursday nights. He also enjoyed golf and was a member of Fairmount Country Club in Chatham. Listening to country music and attending concerts was another favorite pastime.
Jon was the beloved husband and best friend of Marnie and loving father of Henry and George. Devoted brother to David of Chatham Twp and Samantha Dowling of Chatham Boro. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Joann Drury.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated at the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Twp., 240 Southern Blvd., Chatham on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Chatham from 7-9 pm.
