Joseph C. Sciaretta, Jr., 71, of Chatham, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, August 06, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.
Joseph was born on September 29, 1943 in Morristown, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sr. and Rachael (nee Aliberta) Sciaretta.
Joseph owned and operated a successful industrial equipment sales company as well as an emergency rescue equipment sales company.
He enjoyed spending time with his family. Joseph was very handy and could fix anything. He was an avid animal lover and especially loves his labs; Duke and Cooper. He was a former volunteer firefighter of Green Village Fire Department from 1998-2009.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 54 years, Patricia Sciaretta. He is also survived by his son, Mike Sciaretta his wife Melissa, and daughter, LeeAnn Eng and her husband, Jonathan. He was the cherished grandfather of David and wife Christine, Jacqueleen, Zachary, Michael Jr., and Jenna. He was also survived by his siblings, Ann Lucas, Patricia D’Ambrosio, Joyce Dickinson, and Robert Sciaretta.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ. A prayer service will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015 in the funeral home. An interment will follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison, NJ.
