In Loving Memory of Joseph L. Crucilla 1936-2023
A Dedicated Serviceman, Devoted Husband, Father and
Beloved Grandfather, Age 87
Joseph L. Crucilla, the cherished son of the late Phillip and Julia Crucilla, Predeceased
by Loving Brother Anthony Crucilla and Sister AnnaMae Lenke, peacefully departed
this life on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
He was a man of many titles and even more love.
Joseph was the adoring husband of Ann E. (Damato) Crucilla for a remarkable 61 years,
a testament to a love that transcended time. He was a loving father to Elizabeth Baldwin
(Jeff), Joseph H. Crucilla (Kathy), and Christopher Crucilla (Bobbi). Their home was
continually filled with love, warmth and devotion.
Joseph wore the badge of a Cherished Grandfather with pride, doting on Jeffrey,
Nicholas, and Michael Baldwin, Joseph Crucilla, and Katie, Joshua, Christopher, and
Talia Crucilla. His eyes sparkled with joy in their presence.
Raised in Brooklyn, New York, Joseph embarked on a journey of service by enlisting in
the US Air Force in 1954. His commitment led him to the 932nd ACW Squad, where he
tirelessly served in Radar Operations for many years.
His faith in the divine was unwavering, and he was a devoted, longtime parishioner of
Saint Patrick’s Church in Chatham, NJ. Beyond his service and spiritual devotion,
Joseph had a passion for culinary delights, the thrill of exploring new horizons through
travel, and the art of capturing life’s moments through photography. Yet, above all, his
heart’s greatest delight was found in the time he spent with his cherished grandchildren.
Their laughter and love filled his days with immeasurable happiness.
A Visitation to remember and celebrate Joseph’s life will be held on
Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. at the
Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, located at 345 Main St, Chatham, NJ 07928.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Saint Patrick’s
Church, 85 Washington Avenue, Chatham, NJ. Following this, he will be laid to rest at the
Gates of Heaven Cemetery and Mausoleum, situated at 225 Ridgedale Avenue East
Hanover, NJ.
