Josephine Elizabeth Reed, 81, died suddenly at Jersey Shore Medical Center on October 22, 2012. Josephine was a resident of Island Heights for the past 18 years; prior to that she resided in South Orange, Irvington, and Union. She was born in South Orange and graduated Columbia High School in Maplewood; class of 1950. She loved cooking, enjoyed playing Bingo, Skilo, cards, and joker poker. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great granddaughter and friends. Wife of the late Samuel Reed Jr. Loving mother of three; Diane Armenti and her husband Mario of Warren. John Reed of Point Pleasant, Sharon Wilber and her husband Robert of Island Heights. Beloved grandmother of Lee Armenti and his wife Victoria, Jennifer Armenti, Samuel Reed and his wife Daniela, Nicholas Armenti, Cody Wilber, Samantha Wilber, Alexis Reed, John Reed Jr. and Sarah Reed. Great Granddaughter Lauren Armenti. A funeral mass will be on Friday October, 26 at 10:15am at St. Michael the Archangel, 1212 Kelley St. Union, NJ.
