Kathryn E. Fenstermaker “Katie Brown”, 38, of Mendham, NJ, passed away after a long illness, surrounded by family on August 25, 2022.
Born in Summit, NJ, Katie was raised in Morristown where she graduated from the Peck School and the Morristown Beard School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business from Lafayette University.
Her most treasured achievement was her family. Katie met her husband, Blake Fenstermaker, while both were studying abroad in Florence, Italy, for the semester. Together they built a lovely, happy family, soon adding their precocious daughter Colby and then their sweet son Sloan. She is also survived by her devoted parents, Catherine (nee Metzger) and Douglas Brown, her siblings Chris Brown and his wife Theresa, and Jen Hayes and her husband Dan, mother in-law Eve Fenstermaker, brother in-law Ross Fenstermaker and his wife Lindsay, sister in-law Alyssa Fenstermaker, and nephews Shane, Harrison, Ryan, Carter and her nieces, Eva and Milly.
Katie has been devoted to family since her earliest years and brought us all together in her special way. Her love for her Grandmother, Muriel “Toots” Metzger, was unparalleled and continues to this day. They will watch over us together.
She was a huge, NJ Devils Fan. Always there for a big game. Let’s Go Devils.
