Kay Liss

Kay Liss, 91, of Springfield, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Overlook Hospital surrounded by her family.

Kay was born on March 29, 1924 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William and Chrysanthe (nee Gombetta) Zevlas.

Kay was a dancer as a Roxyette and performed with famous artists who included Dean Martin, Alan Jones, and many others. She enjoyed dancing and often went country line dancing up until recent. She was very into health and nutrition and often helped others achieve a healthy lifestyle. She was known to her family and friends as a jack of all trades in and around her home. She loved completing home projects and being handy around the house. Kay loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry J. Liss in 1991. She is survived by her children; son, Ronald H. Liss and his wife, Virginia, and daughter, Karen C. Bender. She was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer R. Zambarano and husband Robert, Kristopher F. Bender, Jeffrey R. Liss and wife Kara, and Kerryanne J. Holliss and husband Jonas. She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren; Tyler and Mason Zambarano, Morgan and Kaitlyn Liss, and Nolan and Matthew Holliss.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081. A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in the funeral home. An interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
