Kojo S. Ashiangbor, 51, of Irvington passed away on January 25, 2021. Visiting hours at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave., in Union will be held on Saturday, February 13th from 8am to 10:00am. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, you MUST reserve your time to attend using the Sign Up Genius link above. There will be a prayer service at 10:00am followed by the committal at Hollywood Memorial Park also in Union. The service and commital will be live streamed via the link above.
Born in Accra, Ghana, the son of Samuel Ashiangbor and Awovi Christine Dzanyikpor, Kojo came to the United States in 1998. He worked for the City of East Orange and is known as a dedicated professional with high work and moral ethics. Kojo believed in hard work and worked until his last days. His colleagues will attest to the fact that Kojo is always available and willing to chip in to get the job done.
Kojo enjoyed dancing, music, socializing, and traveling the world. Kojo was kind, full of life and always smiling, he will be fondly remembered for his devotion to his family and how supportive he was to those around him. He is the one to call upon when all hopes are lost. His optimism and can-do attitude is known to all. It is those attributes that made Kojo everyone’s friend.
Kojo was the beloved husband of Wilhelmina Aryee and loving father of Daniel, Sydney, Jayden and Jayda. He is also survived by his mother Awovi Christine and his siblings Emmanuel Ashiangbor, Peace Ashiangbor-Gadzanku, Patience Ashiangbor and Constance Ashiangbor as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
