Lee L. Deane, 81, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on November 15, 2023. She was the loving wife of Davis J. Deane. Mrs. Deane was born in Manhattan, NY and was the daughter of the late Gordon P. Langford and Doris (Saunders) Langford.
Lee grew up in New Jersey and was a 1960 graduate of Chatham High School and went on to earn her Bachelors Degree in Geology from the University of New Hampshire. Lee worked alongside her father in New York City for several years. She was a longtime member of the United Church of Assonet. She enjoyed knitting, crochet and loved to shop. Most of all, Lee was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
The family wishes to acknowledge the kind and compassionate care provided to Lee by the staff of the South Coast Visiting Nurses Association and the staff of the Somerset Ridge Center.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Richard G. Deane of High Bridge, NJ, Douglas “Scott” Deane and his wife Robin of Byram, NJ and Jennifer L. Deane of Swansea, MA; grandchildren, Douglas A. Deane and his wife Kathleen, Elijah C. Aguirre and Michael H. Deane; siblings, Robert G. Langford and his wife Jeanne of Morris Township, NJ, sister in law Susan Deane Sargent, cousin, Gail Hausler and her husband Bill, several nieces and numerous other Canadian cousins.
