Leonard A. Pacifico “Lenny”, 90, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017.

Born and raised in Millburn, Lenny has lived in Springfield for 56years. A veteran of the US Navy, he served in the Pacific during WWII. He was a painting contractor for Art Chevareau Painting Contractors in Summit, belonging to Local 711 for 66 years. He was a supervisor of the painters of the Worlds Fair in 1965. He was also a member of Casa Colombo in Millburn.

Predeceased by his grandson Jeffrey, twin brother Dominic, and brother Carmen; Leonard is survived by his wife of 70 years, Antoinette (nee: Massimo); children Leonard, Jr., David, Jeffrey and Diane; grandchildren Michael, Ashley and Anthony; great grandchildren Sophia, Sammy and Anthony; sisters Mary Policarpio, Terry Carlucci, Gloria Dudas; and brother Andrew.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10am at St. James the Apostle Church, 45 S. Springfield Ave., Springfield. Entombment will follow at St. Teresa’s Mausoleum, Summit. There will be a visitation on Friday from 4-8pm at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave., Springfield.
